Job Description

Senior Electrical Component Engineer (Level III) for Lockheed Martin Space FBM program, onsite in Englewood, CO, with a salary range of USD 85,500 - 150,765 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in Electrical / Electronic / ElectroMechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering tasks spanning hardware design, manufacture, and test within the FBM program.
  • Contribute to the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports, develop specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test results to support engineering decisions.
  • Coordinate activities with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain to align part strategies with program goals.
  • Engage with electrical components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, and thermistors.
  • Travel as needed to collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality and performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field, with 3+ years of related professional experience.
  • Formal coursework, training, or experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics, and operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
  • Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEE parts.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
