Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Saft America, Inc. offers an onsite Electrical Engineer role in Cockeysville, MD with a salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 per year. In this position, you’ll help advance electrical products, systems, and applications through design, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support safety and compliance across the electrical lifecycle.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop electrical system components, including circuit boards, wiring, and power systems
- Test and evaluate electrical systems to confirm they meet specifications and performance requirements
- Develop manufacturing processes aligned with global engineering codes and standards
- Manage engineering projects to deliver work on time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop solutions
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement necessary repairs or modifications
- Monitor maintenance and inspection plans
- Support research on emerging electrical technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for safety and performance
- Document design specifications, procedures, and test results for future reference
- Work with renewable energy sources
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 8 years or more in an electrical/electronics design role, with experience as a current practitioner
- Proven experience designing and testing electrical systems
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency with CAD, EPLAN, Met LAB, and electrical engineering simulation tools
- Familiarity with electrical safety and performance standards and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize with strong time management skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering
