Job Description

The MOHR Enterprises LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support building design projects across education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets. This hands-on role focuses on electrical system design and the direct creation of construction-ready drawings.

Role Overview

In this position, you will advance electrical concepts through construction by producing detailed drawings and documentation. The scope includes power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems, along with technical support during coordination and construction administration.

Baton Rouge, LA (hybrid)

Salary

USD 90,000 - 110,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction
  • Create drawings personally using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Develop one-lines, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, and specifications
  • Design fire alarm, low voltage, communications, security, and access control systems
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and existing condition reviews
  • Support short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural teams, and clients
  • Review submittals and support construction administration
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and technical priorities

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical design experience preferred
  • Building electrical experience within MEP, A&E, architectural engineering, or building design
  • Strong hands-on AutoCAD drafting and design experience
  • Revit MEP experience is a plus
  • Experience producing construction documents including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and panel schedules
