Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer role based in Tempe, AZ onsite, supporting commercial building electrical design projects under the direction of a Principal Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and other consulting engineers to develop electrical system designs (including lighting, fire alarm, and power distribution) across a range of project types
• Contribute to project design from start to finish, with the ability to participate and lead under Principal Engineer supervision
• Support timely delivery by understanding scheduling expectations and the need to complete work on time and under budget
• Produce clear and concise written documentation for detailed system design deliverables
• Help project teams by contributing to detailed systems design documents and supporting development of project outputs
• Work effectively as part of a team with a willingness and desire to collaborate

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial building design
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with building owners and architects
• Ability to coordinate with other consulting disciplines including mechanical, structural, and civil engineers
