Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description
Creative Electric, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to connect office planning with field installation. This role supports electrical design development, drawing review for code compliance, submittal coordination, and project support through permitting and inspections for residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lay out electrical systems from concept through construction, including service sizing, feeder and branch circuit design, generator systems, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Review electrical drawings and specifications, verify load calculations, panel schedules, and one-line diagrams, and resolve design conflicts through Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Monitor field installations to support compliance with the NEC, Oregon Electrical Specialty Code, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements, and assist crews during permitting and inspections.
- Prepare and track submittals for switchgear, panelboards, lighting, generators, and EV chargers, serving as a primary liaison between field crews, general contractors, utilities, clients, and senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a required drug test.
- Background in electrical construction, electrical engineering, or project engineering support.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and project management tools.
- Solid understanding of the NEC, electrical distribution systems, load calculations, and construction drawings, with strong problem-solving and communication skills under tight deadlines.
- Electrical PE license track, Oregon electrical license, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Schedule and Work Location
- Location: Woodburn, OR (onsite)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8–10 hour shifts, day shift, with occasional Saturday work as needed
- Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Compensation and Benefits
$22–$30/hour, depending on experience, with strong opportunities for advancement. Pay begins at $22.00 per hour.
