Electrical Engineer 2 – Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
Job Description
Electrical Engineer 2 focusing on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) will analyze, design, and test system-level designs for EGSE and related test support equipment used during launch vehicle integration and launch operations. This onsite role is based in Chandler, AZ, with a salary range of USD 79,300 to 118,900 per year.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a system electrical engineering team to analyze, design, and test complex system-level designs emphasizing EGSE and launch-vehicle test support equipment.
- Apply and reference the company’s electrical engineering technical standards across projects.
- Demonstrate broad technical expertise and a working knowledge of related disciplines.
- Prepare and present electrical engineering materials for Requirements and Design Reviews.
- With minimal guidance, study basic design concepts and criteria for more complex problems.
- Adapt or improve heritage features from previously successful designs of a similar nature using electrical engineering principles.
- Participate actively and constructively in team decisions while supporting established goals.
- Provide high-quality internal and external customer service and support.
- Pursue new information sources and deliver information necessary to meet customer needs.
- Maintain disciplined escalation when required and communicate appropriately.
- Derive requirements from multiple sources of documentation and design meetings.
- Assess uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs under supervision.
- Contribute to trade studies for both internal projects and procured equipment.
- Prioritize safety in every aspect of the role.
- Provide formal peer review of straightforward engineering designs or analyses for less experienced engineers.
- Complete day-to-day activities with minimal oversight from senior engineers.
Requirements
- Two years of experience with a Bachelor’s in Engineering, or zero years with a Master’s in Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance at the time of application.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Design, test, or integration experience with EGSE or similar equipment.
- Experience with processes applicable to operating EGSE in secure environments.

- Experience with classified test systems or systems subject to cybersecurity policies.
