Electrical Engineer – Industrial Controls, Cables, and Test Equipment
Job Description
Creare in Hanover, NH is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design, build, and validate complex electromechanical systems. The role centers on creating test apparatus, wire harnesses, control panels, and industrial automation setups to support R&D initiatives.
This full-time, onsite position offers a salary range of USD 90,000 to 140,000 per year and requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with at least five years of practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and build test apparatus, wire harnesses, and control panels for R&D systems
- Select, program and configure VFDs, PLCs, and other industrial control components
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes
- Follow industry standard practices and regulatory standards like UL 508A, NFPA 79, and NFPA 70
- Develop and maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test procedures, using SolidWorks Electrical, Microsoft Office, and related software tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on electrical product design, system integration or industrial automation (preferably in an R&D environment)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical and familiarity with ECAD tools
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and control system programming
- Proficiency with Labview preferred
- Strong understanding of wiring standards, panel layout, and harness design
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
