Job Description

At Kinequip, Inc., this onsite Electrical Engineer role in Detroit focuses on guiding electrical projects from concept through production for lighting and control products. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for a range of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Test and validate electrical systems to confirm alignment with specifications.
  • Transition designs to production, including interfacing with vendors, managing BOMs, and maintaining documentation.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for lighting and control products.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in an electrical design role.
  • Experience with component selection, schematic design/capture, and PCB layout; Altium preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
