Job Description
Electrical Engineer-Equipment Design role at Auto-Chlor System in Memphis, TN onsite to lead engineering development initiatives for dishwasher and dispensing innovations, regulatory compliance, and field-level technical support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of dishwasher and dispensing innovation projects, covering both new equipment design and enhancements to existing equipment.
- Manage projects with durations ranging from two months to more than a year, depending on Project Brief requirements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC, and Federal, State, and Local authorities, while supporting the field sales team on regulatory issues to minimize disruption to customer operations.
- Provide technical support to field sales teams, contractors, consultants, engineers, and architects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for design control and field use.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable years of work experience.
- 5-10 years of electrical and electronic design experience, with familiarity in working with regulatory agencies; experience in the commercial appliance industry is preferred.
- Embedded software and hardware design experience.
- Knowledge of codes and standards for plumbing, sanitation, electrical, and building (NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC, FDA).
- Electrical and electronic circuit design expertise.
- CAD modeling experience; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
