Oliveda is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer with substantial experience in developing health devices and smart wearables. The right candidate will merge cutting-edge electronics with beauty and wellness concepts to create hardware that enhances user self-care. You will own the electrical design, prototyping, and validation of wearable devices that integrate with our holistic approach to beauty and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and integration of smart wearable health devices, including analog and mixed-signal circuits, sensor systems, and low-power architectures.
- Develop prototypes and iterate on wearable devices to improve user experience and deliver accurate, reliable health metrics.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and UX teams to translate cross-disciplinary ideas into tangible hardware.
- Define and execute validation and calibration protocols for sensors and electrical subsystems.
- Conduct benchtop and on-body testing to ensure high performance across diverse conditions and users.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, optimizing hardware for accuracy, durability, and manufacturability.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to select, integrate, and validate sensors and components.
- Support scale-up from prototype to production, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Stay current with emerging wearable technologies and trends in health, wellness, and consumer devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field (PhD a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for wearable devices, health sensors, or consumer IoT hardware.
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits, PCB design, low-power systems, signal acquisition, and sensor integration.
- Experience with testing, validation, and debugging of wearable electronics.
- Proficiency with embedded systems, collaboration with firmware, and data acquisition tools (C/C++, Python, MATLAB).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
