Mach10 Solutions is seeking an Electrical Harness Design Engineer with advanced Zuken expertise to lead end-to-end harness development for high-volume manufacturing.

- Location: Berkeley, CA onsite
- Salary: USD 4,750 - 5,500 per hour
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize electrical wire harness systems for high-volume production environments.
- Use Zuken to create complete harness schematics, layouts, and assembly documentation.
- Update PCBA layouts and schematics to align with project requirements.
- Contribute to the development of reliable, scalable products for mass manufacturing.
- Choose components and connectors by assessing electrical, mechanical, environmental, and manufacturing constraints.
- Verify designs meet reliability, manufacturing, and certification requirements to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Demonstrated SME-level mastery of Zuken software.
- Significant experience documenting and designing electrical harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with the layout and schematic design of PCBA assemblies.
- Ability to execute design projects independently without technical oversight.
- Strong foundation in electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current, grounding, electromagnetic considerations, component selection, connector criteria, assembly processes, and PCBA basics.

About the role
We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Harness Design Engineer who combines advanced Zuken proficiency with solid PCBA design knowledge. You will own the end-to-end development of electrical harnesses, including schematic capture, layout, and production-ready documentation for a high-volume, scalable manufacturing environment. This role requires a true subject matter expert with autonomy to manage harness and electrical design tasks.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Experience in automotive or other industries with high-volume production.
- Track record of delivering products intended for large-scale manufacturing (millions of units).
- Commitment to reliability, scalability, and manufacturability in final designs.
Additional Knowledge
- Familiarity with environmental protection standards and IP ratings.
- Understanding of electrical certification requirements.
- Proficiency in Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing methodologies.
