Job Description
An onsite electrical field engineering role within Olsson coordinates electrical construction activities for an industrial client as part of the construction management team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate electrical construction tasks within the facility, operating under guidance from senior construction leadership.
- Supervise contractor work on electrical scopes to ensure alignment with project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
- Direct installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, collaborating with mechanical and other discipline leads as required.
- Work with project stakeholders to ensure adherence to objectives, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Contribute to creating and executing schedules for plant shutdowns and downtime events on product lines.
- Track progress for assigned scopes, identify risks or issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Help maintain project documentation and generate status updates for leadership and client stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Strong communication abilities.
- Proven ability to contribute as a team member and collaborate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Two to five years of progressive experience in electrical construction, electrical systems oversight, or industrial capital projects.
- Ability to maintain constant alertness and work safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
