Engineer/Motor Shop Supervisor
Job Description
Electrical engineer and motor shop supervisor overseeing production, tooling development, and manufacturing instructions for high voltage coils and rotating electric machines, with direct customer interaction and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead production activities to ensure outputs meet engineering specifications, contractual requirements, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and testing issues to minimize downtime, boost efficiency, and preserve product quality and performance.
- Create and maintain manufacturing instructions aligned with customer requirements and compliance standards.
- Assist in designing and developing tooling required to manufacture the product.
- Prepare customer quotations detailing material, labor, and tooling costs to produce the product.
- Support manufacturing and testing operations by collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and assembly technicians to manufacture and test the product.
- Engage with customers directly to define product specifications, address non-conformance concerns, report project progress, and support new business opportunities.
- Mentor motor shop technicians to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Oversee daily activities of motor shop staff, including scheduling, monitoring throughput, ensuring quality, and enforcing safe work practices.
- Meet or exceed profitability targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate electrical test equipment and mechanical tools.
- A willingness to travel for product support and to assist the sales team with customer visits as needed.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to involvement with DoD equipment.

Reporting relationships
The Electrical Engineer reports to the VP of Operations.
Experience
- Supervisor: 2 years (Preferred)
- Electrical engineering: 3 years (Required)
Ability to commute / relocate
Location: Nazareth, PA 18064 (onsite). Relocation to Nazareth before starting work is required.
