Estimating Engineer

The Estimating Engineer collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to develop precise cost estimates, analyze production options, and craft competitive quotes for a growing custom manufacturing operation.

Location and Compensation

Location: Eden Prairie, MN (onsite)

Salary: USD 75,000 - 95,000 per yearly

Responsibilities

• Generate cost estimates and customer quotations based on drawings, specifications, material requirements, and manufacturing processes
• Assess RFQs and coordinate with engineering and production to identify efficient manufacturing approaches
• Provide technical support to customers and internal sales teams throughout the quoting process
• Leverage ERP systems, CAD tools, and customer portals to organize quoting activities and project information
• Source pricing for materials and components from suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Manage multiple quote requests concurrently and prioritize to meet customer deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in estimating, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, cost analysis, or similar roles
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
• Proficiency with ERP systems, estimating software, and Microsoft Office
• CAD experience and familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States
