Experienced Software Engineer

MenuMetric is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to join its Altoona, Wisconsin team in a hybrid work arrangement. The role centers on designing and maintaining web applications across the full stack, with an emphasis on LLM-assisted development, robust security, and close collaboration with the engineering group. This position targets a proactive developer who can balance feature delivery with strong code quality and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications that align with user needs and business goals
• Collaborate with engineering peers to design and implement new features
• Maintain code integrity, organization, and long-term maintainability
• Implements security and data protection practices
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to established standards
• Stay current with evolving software development trends and technologies

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
• Experience or familiarity with both mobile and desktop development
• Proficiency with Git or other version control systems
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Self-motivated and proactive

Location and compensation

• Salary: $45,000 – $85,000 per year
