Field Service Engineer

Exential is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support a global customer base by installing, commissioning, and servicing sophisticated chemical and gas delivery systems. The role involves substantial travel, both domestically and internationally, and requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, and technology teams to drive ongoing improvement across installations and service activities.

Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer travels to customer sites to install, commission, and qualify Exentec’s chemical and gas delivery equipment. Based onsite in Nampa, Idaho, this role serves a worldwide client network and partners with cross functional teams to advance reliability and performance of mission critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on site repair, preventive maintenance, and complete installation or relocation start up of Exentec's complex delivery systems at customer facilities.
• Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshoot to component level, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and system interruptions.
• Stay current with semiconductor market trends, leading technologies, and Exentec products through training and certification.
• Support complex field modifications and updates while maintaining records to coordinate activities between Exentec and customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Exentec to customers and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Criage and execute customer response plans to address needs and issues.
• Engage in transparent discussions about opportunities and challenges to build trust with clients.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers.
• All other duties as specified.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 percent or more.
• Ability to travel to start up and service chemical and gas delivery equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills applicable to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi disciplinary environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Advanced multitasking ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Location: Nampa, ID, relocation required before starting work.
• Travel readiness: 75 percent minimum.
• Work location: On the road.

Compensation
