Field Service Engineer-III

Field Service Engineer-III role at BWT Pharma & Biotech in Marlborough, MA with hybrid work options and a salary range of USD 85,000 to 97,500 per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment, including electro mechanical repairs and parts replacement.
• Conduct water quality testing using the Hach DR900 meter, Myron L pH and conductivity meters, and Hach test kits for parameters such as hardness and pH.
• Complete and maintain the Preventive, Quality and Maintenance Checklist (PQMC).
• Maintain internal documentation and prepare external reports for customers.
• Interpret system documentation including P&IDs, component lists, spare parts lists, circuit diagrams, and functional logic.
• Work with electrical control panels, I/O cards, PLCs, and plant automation to tune loops and program instrumentation.
• Deliver professional, proactive service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues remotely by phone or on site.
• Provide start-up support for new systems and complete commissioning documentation and reporting.
• Master all training topics for a Level 1 Field Service Engineer.
• Demonstrate competence in training topics for a Level 2 Field Service Engineer.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience with electro mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, and motors.
• 5-10 years of system maintenance experience.
• 3-6 years of experience with electrical control panels, including the ability to tune loops and program instrumentation.
• 3-6 years of experience in the water treatment industry.
• Proficiency with computers and Windows software.
• Ability to work remotely and independently in a customer-facing role.
• Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally across North America.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Flexible hours, including potential work outside normal business hours and short-notice travel.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel 25 percent of the time (required).
• Minimum 3 years of related field service experience.
