Generation Interconnection Engineer

Anchor Point Technology Resources is seeking a Generation Interconnection Engineer to help support transmission and generation interconnection studies for a large regional power system. This is a remote contract opportunity with hybrid work from Carmel, IN, and the role may be extended or converted based on project needs.

In this position, you will contribute to study execution, model development, and technical reporting while partnering with utilities, transmission owners, and internal technical teams across multiple interconnection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support generation and transmission interconnection studies
• Build, update, and analyze power system models
• Evaluate study outcomes and develop technical reports and recommendations
• Support multiple projects while collaborating with utilities, transmission owners, and technical teams
• Communicate technical findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or technical discipline
• 4+ years of relevant experience in power systems, transmission planning, or generation interconnection
• Experience conducting transmission or generation interconnection studies
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT (or similar tools) preferred
