High-Speed Design validation Engineer
Job Description
Capgemini Engineering seeks an experienced High-Speed Design Validation Engineer to design, validate, and optimize mission-critical ECUs for electric vehicles. This on-site position requires collaboration with software, firmware, and mechanical teams and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support for deployed hardware systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Identify opportunities for design enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and manufacturability.
- Lead investigations into hardware failures, applying analytical techniques to identify and resolve root causes.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field, with 7 years of hardware design and development experience, ideally in Automotive.
- Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium, Cadence, or OrCAD.
- Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
- Hands-on experience with networking and communication protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, MIPI, GMSL).
- Hands-on experience with high-speed design validation and circuit debugging.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in written and verbal form.
