I&C Engineer

Based in Aiken, SC, this on-site I & C Engineer role with RED, Inc Communications offers a competitive hourly rate of $55.18 to $82.78 and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with matching, dental, health, and vision insurance, plus paid time off.

The position provides engineering support and design development, with the responsibility to generate design output documents such as P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument indices, setpoint lists, instrument and control valve specifications, DCS and PLC design, instrument location and installation design, panel layouts, and vendor document reviews.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses to support project objectives
• Conduct field walk downs to confirm conditions and as built details
• Advance design development activities and produce associated design output
• Generate design output documents including P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument indices, setpoint lists, instrument and control valve specifications, DCS and PLC design, instrument location and installation design, panel layouts, and vendor document reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear, or I&C Engineering, or current Professional Engineer registration in one of these disciplines
• Five years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry
• Proven design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems
• Experience in 2D MicroStation CAD is preferred
• Ability to walk down systems in the field
• U.S. citizen
• Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check and maintain clearance for the duration of employment
