Junior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Support Specialist

PartWerks is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Support Specialist to support troubleshooting, sample assembly, after-sales technical support, and ongoing product improvement efforts. Based onsite in Humble, TX, this role combines hands-on work in the U.S. warehouse with technical collaboration across engineering teams, including partners in China.

This position helps translate real-world product feedback into documented findings, practical corrective actions, and contributions to product iteration, with close coordination among operations, sales, engineering, and R&D.

Responsibilities

• Support technical communication with engineering teams in China.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot sample units received at the U.S. warehouse.
• Provide technical support for sold products, including quality-related issues and customer inquiries.
• Investigate product issues, identify root causes, and help implement practical solutions.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to gather field feedback and support product improvement research and iteration efforts.
• Document technical issues, support corrective actions, and track problem resolution.
• Partner with operations and sales, along with engineering teams, to improve efficiency and reduce service costs.
• Assist with other hands-on technical tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Hands-on support for product troubleshooting, sample assembly, after-sales technical support, and product improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred (or comparable mechanical foundation as indicated by the degree requirement).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse-based, hands-on environment.
• Experience with mechanical equipment, aftermarket parts, agricultural tools, or technical support is a plus.

Compensation and Work Location

• Location: In person, Humble, TX
• Salary: USD 50,000 - 80,000 per year

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is preferred.
• Experience with product assembly, troubleshooting, or field service.
• Familiarity with agricultural equipment, off-road machinery, or industrial parts.
• Exposure to working with overseas engineering teams.
