Role overview
The Junior Product Marketing Engineer acts as a bridge between engineering and market strategy. You will assist with product launches, create customer-centric messaging, and contribute to pricing strategy by analyzing costs and competition. This role offers a pathway to broaden exposure to product management and technical marketing within a precision-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop product value propositions, datasheets, and technical collateral
- Translate engineering specifications into customer-friendly benefits and use cases
- Research industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs
- Support segmentation and targeting strategies for key verticals
- Coordinate product introductions with sales, engineering, and operations
- Prepare launch kits, presentations, and training materials
- Create tools and content to support sales conversations, such as FAQs and comparison charts
- Assist in responding to technical inquiries and RFQs
- Contribute to website content, email campaigns, and social media posts
- Support trade show planning, booth materials, and product demonstrations
- Gather feedback from customers and sales teams to inform product improvements
- Track product performance and customer satisfaction metrics
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to understand BOM, labor, and overhead
- Assist in building cost models for new and existing RF cable assemblies
- Identify cost drivers and opportunities for margin improvement
- Conduct market price analysis
- Benchmark competitor pricing across key product categories and customer segments
- Analyze historical sales data to identify pricing trends and elasticity
- Support pricing recommendations based on value, cost, and market dynamics
- Maintain and update internal price lists and customer-specific pricing
- Ensure alignment between ERP, CRM, and quoting tools
- Support periodic pricing reviews and adjustments in collaboration with finance and sales
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related) or Marketing with technical coursework
- 0–2 years of experience in product marketing, engineering, or technical sales (internships count)
- Familiarity with RF technologies, cable assemblies, or electronic components preferred
- Strong analytical skills with Excel and data modeling tools
- Excellent communication—able to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience with CRM, ERP, or pricing tools a plus
