Lead Electrical Engineer

TWIG Power is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Novi, MI (onsite) to develop, validate, and maintain hardware solutions for battery, electrification, and power generation products. The role focuses on electronics design work spanning schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit simulation, worst-case analysis, and design validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain hardware solutions for battery, electrification, and power generation products.
• Design circuit boards for battery management, inverters, and other electronics solutions.
• Complete schematic capture and PCB layout, including design analysis using circuit simulation and worst-case analysis.
• Develop mixed-signal applications with high power electronics using traditional FR4 and aluminum substrates, including thermal management considerations.
• Perform schematic design and capture and PCB layout using Altium.
• Manage design release management activities.
• Execute design validation and conduct signal integrity work.
• Perform worst-case analysis.
• Manage electrical component library management.

Required Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of automotive industry experience at a Tier 1 or OEM.
• Experience with electric powertrain or battery management preferred.
• Ability to write test code for validation preferred.
• High-voltage inverter and power conversion design experience for >400V systems.
• Circuit simulation experience using PSPICE or similar tools.
• Schematic design/capture and PCB layout experience with Altium.
• Experience with microcontroller, mixed-signal, and high-power electronics.
• Signal integrity experience.
• Experience working with BGA packages.
• Experience with multi-board and board-to-board systems.
