Job Description
Resource Innovations is seeking a seasoned Lead Java Software Engineer to guide cloud-based enterprise SaaS initiatives from a remote-friendly environment. This hands-on technical leadership role centers on crafting and deploying Java-based solutions using Spring Boot in a fast-paced, distributed architecture. Based in Phoenix, AZ with remote flexibility, the position requires eight or more years of professional software development experience and offers a salary between $140,000 and $160,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the full software development life cycle for cloud-based enterprise applications, spanning design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support within a distributed setting.
- Design and build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP web services, API gateways, and relational databases to deliver scalable, high-performance systems that meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability targets.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established best practices and design patterns; perform code reviews and contribute to ongoing improvements in development standards.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, including production support and performance bottlenecks; optimize applications for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate across QA, DevOps, Product, and Business teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Git) to deliver high-quality software on time.
- Stay informed about evolving technologies, including AI-assisted development practices, and advocate for improvements to tools, frameworks, and engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience building reliable, scalable enterprise applications.
- Proficiency with Java and Python, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch; familiarity with APM tools and log analytics.
- Knowledge of Apache Camel and RabbitMQ; data pipelines; AWS services; CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes.
- Microservices design and implementation experience; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment and collaborate effectively with teams while maintaining a focus on quality and maintainability.
- Interest in sustainability and a passion for delivering meaningful environmental impact.
