Lighting Product Specification Sheet Engineer

The Lighting Product Specification Sheet Engineer at Elite Lighting is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate, compliant specification sheets for lighting products. This onsite role in Los Angeles supports internal teams and customers through reliable product documentation and well-organized product data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed specification sheets for new and existing lighting products, ensuring accuracy and alignment with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain a central repository of product data, including technical specifications, performance data, and compliance information.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise language for specification sheets, marketing materials, and product documentation.
• Verify that product specification sheets reflect relevant compliance requirements and clarifications, including UL, DCL, and ENERGY STAR.
• Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and quality control teams to gather, validate, and update product specifications.
• Monitor changes in product design, features, and performance, and update specification sheets accordingly.
• Conduct quality checks on specification sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency across product information.
• Provide timely, accurate product information to support customers and sales teams.
• Maintain organized records of specification sheets to ensure easy access for relevant teams.
• Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on how to use specification sheets effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with technical data.
• Familiarity with lighting products and industry standards (plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
• Highly organized approach with strong time management skills.
