Build and commission manufacturing controls for Megafactory production in Brookshire, Texas.

Design and launch manufacturing equipment for new products being mass-produced for the first time
Develop next-generation controls systems that combine traditional PLC logic with capabilities of a modern software stack
Work hands-on with full-scale production equipment, covering initial commissioning, mass production, and ramp
Help define and align with Tesla hardware and software standards for future equipment development
Lead machine suppliers to successful project delivery
Drive high-level machine and line design decisions, including supplier design reviews and factory acceptance testing
Coordinate across multiple internal teams to land a production line at any Tesla facility
New hires may need to travel, train at, or support other Tesla facilities until equipment move-in

Programming proficiency in PLC or industrial controllers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff) using ladder logic and structured text
Experience programming and setting up industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA)
Ability to create electrical schematics using ePLAN or AutoCAD
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on capability troubleshooting and fixing electro-mechanical devices
Comfort with common hand tools and diagnostic tools such as multimeters
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, similar degree, or equivalent experience
