Job Description

Delta T Energy Corp seeks a Mechanical & Plumbing Professional Engineer (PE) to lead HVAC and plumbing design across California projects in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HVAC and plumbing system design for commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and institutional projects
  • Interpret and apply California Mechanical Code (CMC), California Plumbing Code (CPC), and California Building Code (CBC)
  • Interpret and apply California Energy Code / Title 24
  • Interpret and apply ASHRAE and NFPA standards
  • Produce permit-ready construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations
  • Perform HVAC load calculations
  • Perform ventilation analysis
  • Perform equipment selection
  • Perform hydronic system design
  • Perform plumbing fixture calculations
  • Perform pipe and duct sizing
  • Coordinate with architects and multiple disciplines including structural, electrical, and civil
  • Support plan check responses, permit coordination, and construction administration
  • Review RFIs, submittals, and field conditions during construction
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Participate in client meetings and technical presentations

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer Mechanical (PE) license in California
  • Active NCEES (or willingness to obtain) reciprocal licensing for applications in other states
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of mechanical/plumbing engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of California mechanical and plumbing codes
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or institutional projects
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Compensation

  • Salary: USD 110,000 - 145,000 per year
  • Annual performance bonus
