Job Description

The company offers an onsite Municipal Engineer II/III role in Morganville, NJ, with a compensation range of USD 70,000 - 91,500 per year. This mid-level opportunity is designed for civil engineers with approximately 3 to 5 years of municipal project experience, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (civil preferred), and an Engineering in Training (EIT) credential or progress toward licensure.

Primary Function

The Municipal Engineer II/III will deliver engineering services across all phases of assigned municipal projects under the supervision of the Project Manager, drawing on roughly 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and oversee civil and site design for a broad range of projects including parks, municipal infrastructure, athletic facilities, schools, higher education campuses, and industrial or commercial developments.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support municipal stormwater management, roadway improvements, and drainage system upgrades.
  • Coordinate utilities and support the preparation of construction documents for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Assist with assigned municipal project tasks to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Work independently and as part of a project team, applying sound judgment and technical expertise with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with civil engineering preferred, from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) required; working toward PE licensure highly valuable.
