Civil Engineer Project Manager

MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple civil engineering projects in a hands-on onsite role. This position supports successful project delivery across scope, schedule, budget, and quality while also providing construction administration support and maintaining client relationships.

Based in Saint Paul, MN, the Project Manager role includes planning and oversight of project execution, technical reporting, financial monitoring, and day-to-day guidance for junior engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple projects or large, moderately complex projects to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Develop project plans, scope, and criteria, and oversee execution by project teams
• Perform construction administration activities and support project delivery across all phases
• Maintain client relationships and support business development efforts, including networking and use of CRM/tools
• Prepare fee proposals and support pursuit efforts with Department Manager guidance
• Support the growth of junior engineers and designers through day-to-day guidance and training
• Monitor project financial performance, including budget tracking and coordination on receivables
• Conduct existing condition evaluations and prepare technical reports
• Ensure compliance with design safety standards and company expectations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or in the process of certification
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Proven experience managing projects and coordinating work across engineering teams
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple office locations
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity
• Familiarity with construction administration and project delivery processes
• Exposure to client interaction and supporting business development efforts
• Ability to support and guide junior engineers and designers
• Civil engineering experience (preferred): 5 years

Salary & Location

• Location: Saint Paul, MN (onsite; required commute)
• Work location: In person
• Pay: USD 100,000 - 135,000 per year
