Job Description

NMR Field Service Engineer role based in Peabody, MA, onsite, responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing NMR instruments at customer facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install new or modified NMR equipment at customer facilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on instruments
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair NMR systems
  • Determine root causes of instrumentation problems
  • Carry out repairs and, when applicable, recommend component replacements
  • Initiate corrective actions and communicate with the District Manager
  • Troubleshoot related equipment and systems
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electronics, engineering, or a related science field
  • Two or more years of experience with NMR, analytical instrumentation, RF electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and electro-mechanical experience
  • Knowledge and ability to apply principles of RF electronics
  • Strong troubleshooting methods and the ability to analyze and evaluate complex mechanical components
  • Knowledge or experience with NMR and analytical chemistry is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Willingness to travel overnight (some overnight travel)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
