NMR Field Service Engineer
Job Description
NMR Field Service Engineer role based in Peabody, MA, onsite, responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing NMR instruments at customer facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install new or modified NMR equipment at customer facilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on instruments
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair NMR systems
- Determine root causes of instrumentation problems
- Carry out repairs and, when applicable, recommend component replacements
- Initiate corrective actions and communicate with the District Manager
- Troubleshoot related equipment and systems
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronics, engineering, or a related science field
- Two or more years of experience with NMR, analytical instrumentation, RF electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and electro-mechanical experience
- Knowledge and ability to apply principles of RF electronics
- Strong troubleshooting methods and the ability to analyze and evaluate complex mechanical components
- Knowledge or experience with NMR and analytical chemistry is preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Passport
- Willingness to travel overnight (some overnight travel)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
