Radar Systems Engineer I

Raytheon is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer I to support Surface Radars and Radars programs through the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
• Own radar processing algorithm development
• Develop radar software requirements
• Perform statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
• Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
• Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
• Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) major obtained by start date
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Travel

• May require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations
• Travel supports test events and mission execution

Security Clearance

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility
• DoD clearance: Secret
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date

Qualifications We Prefer

• An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
• Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
• Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
• Design experience across radar system areas including:
  • Antenna
  • Receiver/exciter
  • Waveforms
  • Digital beamforming
  • Multi-sensor track management and data fusion
  • Adaptive signal processing
  • Clutter mitigation techniques
  • Electronic attack and electronic protect
  • Sensor resource management and mission planning
• Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
• Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
• Experience with technical writing and oral presentations

Location and Salary

• Location: Tewksbury, MA (onsite)
• Salary: USD 57,200 - 108,800 per year
