Process Engineer MS/PhD

eJoule Inc is seeking a PhD-level Process Engineer to join our Fremont, California onsite team. This full-time role supports research and development, scale-up, and characterization of advanced cathode materials for next-generation lithium-ion batteries, focusing on powder synthesis, material optimization, and data-driven process development from lab to pilot scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and characterize newly synthesized battery materials
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Support in testing method development
• Operate testing equipment
• Summarize technical data and provide verbal and written reports
• Maintain the laboratory and equipment

Requirements

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
• Hands-on experience with powder material synthesis, processing, and characterization tools such as particle size analyzer, XRD, and SEM
• Experience designing and analyzing DOE studies for process optimization and material development
• Hands-on experience preparing and measuring chemical solutions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
• Strong teamwork spirit
