Job Description

The Product Design Engineer role at Fusion Fluid Equipment in Whitehall, Michigan focuses on translating customer requirements into production-ready designs. This onsite position supports manufacturing with strong engineering documentation, collaboration across teams, and continual improvement of products and internal standards.

Role Overview

You will design custom equipment, develop fabrication and machining drawings, and assist with manufacturing and assembly through production. The role also involves improving product, system, and process quality, along with helping establish scalable engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design custom equipment using SolidWorks
  • Convert customer specifications into production-ready designs
  • Create fabrication and machining drawings
  • Support manufacturing and assembly throughout the production cycle
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve quality, speed, and efficiency
  • Manage project costs and engineering deliverables
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers
  • Improve products, systems, and processes

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent mechanical design experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Employment Details

  • Job type: Full-time
  • Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
  • Work location: In person, Whitehall, MI 49461
  • Ability to commute: Required
  • Ability to relocate: Relocate to Whitehall, MI 49461 before starting work (Required)
