Product Systems Engineer

Accelera is seeking an onsite Product Systems Engineer in Saint Paul, MN to support electro-mechanical assembly, integration, testing, and contract manufacturing readiness for airborne agricultural drone sensors.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical assembly tasks for electro-mechanical components, including gimbals and cameras
• Update production designs and optimize builds for manufacturing efficiency
• Create, update, and distribute technical documentation for external manufacturing partners
• Collaborate with electrical designers on circuit card assembly specifications (layout, connectors, user inputs)
• Perform system-level wired integration and complete box builds
• Conduct fault detection, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve product faults
• Program circuit card assemblies
• Run comprehensive system testing and checkout
• Support optical work including alignment, focusing, and assembly of optical components
• Perform flight testing procedures and record all test results
• Maintain high quality standards to support defect-free product delivery
• Monitor and manage material inventory to support continuous production
• Analyze, repair, and troubleshoot damaged equipment
• Support and maintain production timelines to meet operational goals
• Investigate and resolve issues to improve long-term reliability

Additional Role Details

• Facilitate change management by ensuring design-update documentation and drawings stay synchronized between engineering and production teams
• Act as a liaison by providing technical guidance and recommendations for new and existing products
• Serve as primary point of contact for contract manufacturers and manage technical data packages
• Implement and review quality assurance protocols with contract manufacturing partners
• Focus on supporting assembly builds to meet customer demand

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics
• Minimum 1 year of experience using PTC Creo
• Obtain Part 107 certification within the first three months
• Ability to interpret technical requirements independently
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex issues
• Ability to work effectively with team members to foster collaboration
• Self-motivated with strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage project scope and adhere to strict deadlines

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $30.40 (USD 30 to 33 per hourly in the posted range)
• Non-exempt overtime eligibility: 1.5x base rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, subject to local regulations
• Final compensation determined based on experience, education, and skill set
