Project Engineer

The Waldinger Corporation / Pro Electric is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects for the Kansas City area from an onsite location in Independence, MO.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and executing project plans and schedules; submit RFIs; manage project documentation; coordinate resources to keep deliverables on track.
• Complete technical calculations and evaluations; review drawings and specifications for accuracy; provide guidance to field personnel on construction methods.
• Support quality assurance by monitoring build quality and materials; help conduct inspections and audits; assist with fast resolution of issues.
• Track project costs against budget; help identify opportunities for savings.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to build working relationships and develop negotiation skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction, engineering, or a related field; new graduates welcome.
• Ability and willingness to travel moderately.
