Project Water Engineer

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of stormwater and resiliency projects, covering drainage planning, green infrastructure design, and flood mitigation systems.
- Make informed judgments on project details and preliminary engineering alternatives as they are developed.
- Complete technical analyses and produce reports with guidance from more senior team members.
- Conduct field activities such as site visits, construction observation, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventories, and setting up flow monitoring.
- Support engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawings, responses to RFIs, and permit closeouts.
- Manage project tasks as a resource, delivering activities within budget and schedule while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Investigate and analyze technical solutions, preparing accurate documentation and reports in line with Arcadis requirements and applicable standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, team leaders, and clients to keep project matters progressing smoothly.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and contribute to resolving project challenges.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to maintain the integrity of the overall solution.
- Review completed engineering work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Develop a broader understanding of Arcadis services, client needs, and industry trends to build professional credibility and networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience and PE Certification.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software.
- Experience with stormwater management calculations and green infrastructure design.
