Overview
The role centers on designing and delivering embedded avionics software in C++ for RFIO applications, aligning with DO-178C guidelines (DAL A preferred), and supporting certification artifacts and flight-test integration across mission-critical platforms.
Responsibilities
- Implement embedded avionics software in C++ with emphasis on RFIO integration
- Execute DO-178C compliant development, with a preference for DAL A
- Create and manage requirements using DOORS
- Contribute to software certification artifacts, including plans, requirements, and traceability
- Lead code reviews, builds, and configuration management activities
- Assist with flight-test integration, interpreting aircraft wiring and data flows
- Support software testing using Python

About the Job
We are seeking a Software Engineer with substantial experience in safety-critical avionics software development supporting military and surveillance platforms. Your responsibilities will include developing embedded avionics software in C++ with a focus on RFIO, performing DO-178C compliant development (DAL A preferred), creating and managing requirements via DOORS, and supporting the full spectrum of software certification artifacts. You will participate in code reviews, builds, and configuration management, assist with flight-test integration by interpreting aircraft wiring and data flows, and support software testing using Python.
Your Skills and Experience
Ideal candidates will have strong DO-178C experience and an embedded software development lifecycle, proficiency in C/C++, build systems, and compiler configurations, and hands-on work with JIRA, Bitbucket, and CM tools. Familiarity with certification and documentation environments, along with experience in signal processing, FPGA interfacing (Hardware Registers), RFIO, and Python, is highly valued.
