Regional Consulting Engineer

Alpine Intel is hiring a full-time Regional Consulting Engineer in Charlotte, NC (onsite). This on-the-road role supports insurance clients with consulting, restoration, and salvage services for technical equipment losses. What You’ll Do

• Deliver quality consulting, restoration, and salvage services for insurance losses involving technical equipment.
• Conduct field investigations, follow through with research, and summarize findings in reports for clients.
• Lead and manage investigations covering commercial and industrial systems, with work that may involve multiple project stakeholders.
• Use technical expertise to perform independent and collaborative analysis, document results internally, and deliver findings in a formal final deliverable report.
• Own project execution, including project timeline, documentation, budget preparation, and overall time management.
• Interface with clients before, during, and after project completion through verbal and written communication to ensure timely updates and aligned expectations.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors as needed, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors to secure required materials and services.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate equipment to determine whether repair, refurbish, or replace is appropriate.
• Establish likely causes of equipment damage, including water damage, lightning damage, power surges, and similar scenarios.
• Support claims involving electronic equipment such as computer networks, medical technology, industrial machinery, telecommunications infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment.
• Complete additional company projects as assigned by management.

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) required.
• 1 to 3 years of experience evaluating failures in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Analytical, inquisitive problem-solving approach to investigations.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions.
• Customer service mentality and accountability for professional, high-quality follow-through.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• 20% travel with occasional overnight travel; travel may increase based on claim volume.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is beneficial.

Compensation and Work Details

Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 per year. Job Type: Full-time.

Work Location: On the road. Occasional driving for extended periods may be required.
