RF Test Development Engineer
Job Description
Celestica is expanding its RF testing capabilities in Maple Grove, Minnesota, with an RF Test Development Engineer who will help push infrastructure to 50 GHz for Aerospace and Defense customers and global test platforms. This role blends hands-on test development leadership with cross-functional collaboration to enhance how Celestica validates complex RF products across production environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production test solutions from concept through deployment, including strategic planning, design, and implementation.
- Develop test development proposals grounded in production requirements, assessing resource needs and estimating scope, cost, and schedule.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of support engineers, both locally and remotely.
- Contribute to non-technical project elements such as resourcing, budgets, and scheduling.
- Review product design requirements and specifications to craft effective production test strategies.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers.
- Evaluate tradeoffs in complex test systems and recommend optimal solutions.
- Coordinate site and network-wide deployment efforts.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Contribute to short-term and long-term investment and skill development strategies with global impact.
- Provide complete test development solution support, including hardware and software elements, system integration, qualification, and installation to meet plan requirements.
- Debug tester issues using design of experiments, tooling, and failure analysis methodologies.
- Own the hardware and software architecture for an RF testing platform capable of supporting products up to 50 GHz.
- Offer technical leadership to develop production test solutions in collaboration with a PMO for Celestica design and manufacturing customers.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with RF test development up to 50 GHz.
- Experience with project management and leadership/people management.
- Financial planning, budgeting, and cost estimation experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) and 8D/Corrective Action; D/PFMEA experience.
- Quality and Lean methodologies, plus Supplier Quality and Component Engineering familiarity.
- Engineering/manufacturing data analytics and KPI awareness.
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and National Instruments TestStand.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Customer interaction and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to review and interpret product design requirements/specifications.

Salary and Benefits Summary
