Roadway Design Engineer
Job Description
The Roadway Design Engineer will contribute to the design and analysis of transportation projects, with a focus on roadway and multimodal design, operating from Dallas, TX with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review design drawings, calculations, and technical reports for roadway and multimodal initiatives.
- Apply applicable engineering standards and codes to ensure precision and compliance in all design work.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing authorities to align project objectives.
- Conduct design analyses, prepare cost estimates, and perform quantity takeoffs for assigned components.
- Support quality assurance activities and address design review comments or field inquiries as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 7 to 10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency with Microstation ORD, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
- Proposal writing or marketing experience is a plus.
