Position Summary

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and govern enterprise data management within the SAP ecosystem, bringing hands-on expertise in MDG and BODS. You will collaborate with business data owners, IT teams, and enterprise architects to ensure high quality, governed data across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and related systems, enabling trusted data for analytics and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy enterprise data governance structures aligned with the organization’s data strategy
• Establish data policies, standards, and procedures for SAP master and transactional data
• Define data ownership and stewardship models across business domains
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and privacy requirements
• Design, implement, and manage SAP MDG solutions for specified domains
• Configure MDG data models, workflows, validations, and governance processes
• Implement data approval workflows and governance lifecycles
• Develop custom governance rules and business validations
• Define and implement data quality frameworks within the SAP landscape
• Establish data quality monitoring and remediation processes
• Define and track data quality KPIs and metrics
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using BODS for migration, cleansing, transformation, and integration
• Build data quality jobs and profiling routines
• Develop data reconciliation and validation frameworks
• Support large-scale data migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and SAP functional teams to maintain consistent data models
• Define data lifecycle management policies and data change governance processes
• Oversee data stewardship workflows and implement audit and compliance controls for master data
• Define data synchronization and replication strategies
• Shape migration strategies and data cleansing approaches
• Engage with business data owners, data stewards, SAP functional consultants, and IT architecture teams
• Lead data governance workshops and trainings

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
• At least seven years of experience in SAP data management or governance
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
• 3+ years working with SAP MDG
• 3+ years working with SAP BODS
• Experience in large enterprise SAP programs
• Experience with S/4HANA data migration programs
• Experience with enterprise data governance programs
• Exposure to cloud data architectures
• Knowledge of data catalog and metadata tools
• Strong stakeholder communication, strategic thinking, data governance leadership, problem solving, and process design skills
