Senior Controls Engineer

Senior Controls Engineer role focusing on electrical, pneumatic and software design, build and troubleshooting of control solutions for industrial equipment and automation products.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and pneumatic designs using AutoCAD Electrical 2020 (experience preferred).
• Create PLC logic designs with Rockwell RSLogix 5000 (ControlLogix, CompactLogix); familiarity with Step7 and TIA Portal (Siemens) preferred.
• Design graphical user interfaces with Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio; experience with Step7 and TIA Portal and related automation software.
• Utilize industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering degree and five years of experience, or related field with knowledge in PLC programming languages, operator interface programming languages and hardware design.
• Candidates with 7 to 10 years of concurrent experience and no degree will be considered.
• Controls hardware design and configuration experience.
• Hands-on communications between robots and PLCs (handshake protocols).
• Strong understanding of pneumatics.
• Robot programming experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
