Job Description

Cyient is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support avionics communication, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) hardware in Melbourne, Florida. In this onsite role, you will work across the product lifecycle, contributing to mission-critical electronics through design, development, support, and verification activities. Because the work is subject to ITAR requirements, the position requires U.S. Person status.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity focused on designing, analyzing, and improving analog, digital, and RF circuitry, along with collaborating closely with systems, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams. You will also document technical decisions and results throughout development, from early circuit work to integration and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and optimize analog, digital, and RF circuits for avionics applications.
  • Support existing CNS products while contributing to new product development.
  • Develop electrical schematics and coordinate printed wiring board (PWB/PCB) layouts.
  • Conduct circuit analysis, troubleshooting, integration, verification, and testing.
  • Use engineering lab equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, network analyzers, and power meters, plus related test tools.
  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and production engineering teams.
  • Support production, perform root cause investigations, and drive design improvements.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document designs, test results, and engineering analyses throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (or Master's degree with 3+ years).
  • U.S. Person status required due to ITAR regulations.
  • Experience designing analog, digital, and/or RF circuitry.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting, circuit analysis, and laboratory testing skills.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment including:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Digital Multimeters (DMM)
    • Network Analyzers
    • Power Meters
  • Ability to create or interpret electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software debugging environments.
  • Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead technical efforts and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

Salary

  • $90,000 - $120,000 per year
