Senior Electrical Engineer

Alares LLC is building an engineering team where accountability is real and growth is tied to ownership. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as Electrical Engineer of Record (EOR) on healthcare, federal, and private design projects with direct client interaction. The role is suited for someone who wants variety across VA, DoD, GSA, and private healthcare work, and who wants a clear path toward principal and equity ownership.

What you’ll do

• Act as electrical EOR covering power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, normal and emergency/standby systems, grounding, and arc-flash as well as short-circuit/coordination studies.
• Develop and stamp construction documents while coordinating closely with Alares’ in-house mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Work directly with clients and VA/DoD/GSA project staff, with no layers between you and the teams you support.
• Contribute to building Alares’ electrical standards, QA process, and a pipeline for junior engineers.

What you bring

• Licensed PE in an electrical discipline; NCEES Record and/or multi-state licensure is strongly preferred since the work is nationwide.
• Building-systems electrical design experience, ideally in healthcare, federal, institutional, or commercial environments.
• Comfort with occupied-facility conditions and renovation phasing.
• Fire-alarm design experience is a plus, given that a large share of current projects includes fire alarm scope.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year.
