Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - AI Trainer for a flexible contract engagement, working remotely from Waterloo, CA. The role focuses on training and evaluating AI systems by solving complex mechanical engineering problems. Compensation starts at USD 60 per hour, with potential bonuses on some projects.

Responsibilities

• Present AI chatbots with challenging mechanical engineering tasks and assess their problem-solving outputs
• Judge AI model outputs for accuracy and performance
• Audit and validate AI-generated engineering analyses, designs, and technical documentation for real-world applicability

Requirements

• Proficiency in English
• Strong attention to detail
• Minimum two years of professional engineering experience
• Knowledge of design engineering, dynamics and controls, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and related mechanical engineering concepts
• Bachelor's degree, completed or in progress

Qualifications

• English fluency

• At least 2 years of professional engineering experience
• Knowledge across design engineering, dynamics and controls, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and related mechanical engineering concepts
