Job Description

The Senior Power & Controls Engineer will deliver electrical engineering services and consulting for low to medium voltage power systems serving industrial and municipal facilities. This role combines technical power distribution work with planning, design management, and project management responsibilities, including the preparation of key design deliverables.

Role Overview

Provide engineering support across low to medium voltage electrical systems for industrial and municipal clients. Responsibilities include planning and design management, project management, and development of documentation such as reports, P&IDs, specifications, and power distribution design artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering services and consulting for low to medium voltage power systems in industrial and municipal facilities
  • Own planning, design management, and project management for low to medium voltage system delivery
  • Prepare reports for municipal clients and develop plans, P&IDs, and specifications
  • Develop, read, and interpret one-line diagrams and contribute to power distribution design

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 10 to 15 years of experience designing and developing power distribution diagrams for low to medium voltage industrial or municipal systems
  • Strong experience with design management and project management for power and control system projects
  • Experience analyzing voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and short circuit currents for small to large scale facilities
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or I&C Engineering (plus)

Compensation and Location

  • Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 125,000 to 170,000 per year
