Senior/ Principal Mission Management Equipment Responsible Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Translate and decompose system requirements across architecture levels, tailoring and flowing them down to implementation.
- Design and develop data storage solutions, lead hardware integration and testing, and perform requirements analysis.
- Analyze and estimate performance of components, subsystems and systems in line with government and commercial standards.
- Conduct trade studies, document subsystem architectures, assess performance, and evaluate Technology Readiness Levels against current and future supplier offerings.
- Produce designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform objectives.
- Provide technical management of strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, qualification, system integration and test support.
- Develop supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work.
- Establish supplier evaluation criteria and perform technical evaluations, documenting results and selections.
- Review supplier development documents and support technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
Requirements
- Travel up to 25 percent of the time.
- Clearance: active Secret clearance required to apply and start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance in a timely manner as determined by the company.
- Education and experience options: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of related engineering experience; or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of related experience; or a PhD with 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience integrating commercial off-the-shelf electronics into military systems.
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), including developing and maturing requirements and tracing them through levels.

Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s in STEM with 3 years; or PhD with 4 years.
- Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems.
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), including developing and maturing requirements and tracing them through levels.
- Active Secret clearance required to apply and start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company.
Sr Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s in STEM with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years.
- Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems.
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), including developing and maturing requirements and tracing them through levels.
- Active Secret clearance required to apply and start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Data at Rest products certified to government standards such as NSA Type 1, CSfC, or NIST FIPS 140-3.
- Data storage certifications such as SNIA SCSP, NetApp NCDA, Dell/EMC DCA or equivalent.
- DODD 8570 certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security credentials.
- Experience architecting physical and logical storage systems to meet capacity, reliability, and workload-driven performance needs.
- Experience deploying network attached storage systems, including configuring mount points, exports, ACLs and permissions for diverse clients.
- Experience developing backup and recovery strategies, including snapshots, replication, disaster recovery and business continuity planning aligned to RTO and RPO goals.
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Basic scripting skills (eg, Bash, Python).
