Senior Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage active design initiatives by prioritizing tasks, addressing technical and scheduling challenges, and producing detailed action plans to keep programs on track.
• Oversee the end-to-end design and development of new products, accessories, fixtures, and tooling, combining hands‑on CAD work with team leadership to meet performance, cost, and timeline goals.
• Evaluate design concepts through engineering analysis and testing, selecting materials and manufacturing methods that best fulfill product requirements.
• Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements, design inputs, and validated design outputs.
• Lead design reviews, design for manufacturability assessments, and cross‑functional gate reviews to ensure targets for cost, quality, and schedule are achieved.
• Provide ongoing post‑launch support, including troubleshooting field issues, assessing reported defects, and driving design or process improvements based on feedback from customers and manufacturing.
• Travel as needed to support product testing, collect customer feedback, and assist with field installations; expected travel up to 5%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of product development and design engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading projects to successful product launches.
• Proficiency with Office 365 Apps, SolidWorks CAD, project management tools, and other engineering software.
• Solid grounding in mechanical engineering disciplines, including materials, manufacturing technologies, and processes.
