Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role in Philadelphia focused on automated testing for API and UI in a SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites covering API and UI layers
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to improve test efficiency and accelerate delivery
• Participate in load, stress, and endurance testing to validate performance and scalability
• Help identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation
• Review test failures, perform root cause analysis, and produce actionable defect reports
• Validate releases to ensure requirements are met and quality standards are maintained
• Conduct manual testing when automation is not the best fit
• Support consistent testing practices across a distributed set of development teams
• Recommend improvements to automation approaches, testing processes, and overall quality practices
• Mentor team members on automation development, automation design patterns, testing strategies, and best practices
• Provide technical leadership building maintainable, scalable, and reusable test frameworks

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an Agile, highly collaborative, team-based environment
• 5+ years developing API and UI test automation solutions
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (for example: Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright)
• Experience contributing to load and performance testing (for example: JMeter, k6, Gatling)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of web and browser technologies
• BS and/or MS in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred)
