Marathon TS is seeking a mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer to deliver secure, scalable REST services and modern user interface features in an enterprise or government Agile setting. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, CI/CD support, automated testing, and secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
Role Overview
You will design, develop, and validate full-stack capabilities using Java for REST APIs and Angular with TypeScript for UI functionality. Work includes integrating with internal and external services, supporting delivery through CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to secure, maintainable, and performant solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test full-stack features using Java (REST APIs) and Angular (UI).
- Build and consume RESTful APIs; integrate with internal and external services.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
- Write and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and UI tests, and support code quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to secure, maintainable, and high-performing solutions.
- Apply security-minded development practices and support DevSecOps and secure SDLC expectations.
- Troubleshoot issues across application and API layers, and support defect triage and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, manage work in Jira, and document updates in Confluence.
- Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Java experience, including building REST APIs and familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Angular for enterprise web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Git and pull request workflows.
- Experience with build and package tools such as Maven/Gradle and npm.
- Demonstrated experience designing and integrating APIs using JSON and HTTP best practices.
- Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with test frameworks such as JUnit, Jest/Jasmine, or Cypress/Karma.
- Knowledge of OWASP, secure coding practices, and cloud or container fundamentals.
